@MoEnterprise007 Learn how to spell before trying to “insult me”
What a fckin noob.
My title won’t work.
@AlphaE06 Try going under preferences, open and save, then uncheck the two boxes under “When Saving a File.” Also select Unicode (UTF-8) in both boxes under where it says “Plain Text File Encoding” It should work.
I opened up my file and it shows all my code, like the greater than sign. What do I do?
It didn’t work for me. I coded it just like you but when it comes to saving it we seem to have different option on the screen even tho we both have macs. You had a plain text encoding UTF-8 option when you saved as html. I just typed the name then scrolled down to html format then saved. It saved but the page just had the code on it, no color bg, flying text, nothing. What am I doing wrong? thanks
how do you name the webpage as in the search it online, are you going to make a more in detailed video on this
@kevkev3099 use taco html
how do we make it a background picture
@Microsoftultimatefan you don’t have too its completely optional.
Aren’t you supposed to put the !DOCTYPE html tag at the beginning?
Html is easy..
but good tutorial
thank you so much!
Same background as mine xD
@kevkev3099 Use Notepad or notepad++ and when you are about to save save as a html for example
website.html
homo mac
@kevkev3099 tee hee that’s what you get for spending $30 on something you didn’t need.
@adventure100100 I have an apple mac to, and I had the same problem. So here is what u do:
turn the text the ‘Plain text”
turn the format to “unicode-8″
then do it.. It works.

this is the similar way for webpage design at my school but i wasnt sure on how to do it on a MAC cause school has windows this really helped!
I didn’t understand you so fats and far away!
Very helpful video, thanks. Only 2 things: “marquee” is pronounced “mar-kee,” not “mar-kwee.” Nothing big. The other thing is that OS X Lion makes the TextEdit process near impossible with how frustrating it is, rather than ‘Save as…’ you can only ‘save’ it as a version. It tends to snap to a .txt file even after changing the file to a .html file. There’s a way to fix it in preferences but it still doesn’t work as needed.
with lion. i cant do save as. when i click on save a version it saves it as a txt file. HELP
